Community Safety & Wandering Prevention for Children and Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
It is essential that all people, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, understand and practice community safety skills. Observing common safety rules and practices is crucial to prevent unnecessary harm. This webinar will explain potential unsafe situations and will provide strategies for community safety, injury prevention, and getting help when needed. Attendees will learn about pedestrian and passenger safety issues, water safety, prevention and response strategies for a person who has eloped or wandered, and internet safety.
