Webinar: How Can Self-Advocacy Benefit My Loved One with I/DD?
This webinar will be hosted by The Arc of New Jersey Family Institute and presented by a member of The Arc of New Jersey's Self-Advocacy Project team. The goal of this webinar is to provide information about New Jersey's thriving Self-Advocacy movement, including dates and locations of monthly meetings and events, as well as a discussion of the various ways Self-Advocacy skills can benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at work, at school, and in the community.
About the Presenter: Ashley Ritchey, MSW, LSW, is a Training and Technical Assistance Specialist with The Arc of New Jersey’s Self-Advocacy Project. Ms. Ritchey works closely with members of the New Jersey Statewide Self-Advocacy Network as an Advisor for local and regional Self-Advocacy groups throughout Central and Northern New Jersey. She develops and presents interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to legislative advocacy, human rights, healthy decision-making skills, and voting.
