6.19.18 - A Message from the NJ Department of Human Services Commissioner

A Message from the NJ Department of Human Services Commissioner
6.19.18

Dear Friends,

Since joining the Department of Human Services in January, I have heard concerns from individuals, families, and advocates about the transition from Easterseals NJ to the new fiscal intermediary, Public Partnerships.

We have heard your concern – and the Department will make enrollment with Public Partnerships voluntary during the fiscal year that begins on July 1. Individuals who are self-directing their services may remain with Easterseals NJ or choose to enroll with Public Partnerships. We will continue to explore options to improve these services to best meet the needs of individuals in this program and their caregivers, and will provide additional updates soon.

While you await further updates, if you are enrolled with Easterseals NJ for self-direction and wish to remain enrolled with Easterseals NJ, no action is required and your services and budget will not change.

If you wish to enroll with Public Partnerships, you may contact your Support Coordinator/ Case Manager or the Division of Developmental Disabilities’ Fee-for-Service Helpdesk at DDD.FeeForService@dhs.state.nj.us.

Thank you,

Carole Johnson
