Emergency Preparedness for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The importance of preparing for disasters is universal. Emergencies can happen anywhere and everyone must take action to prepare for something unexpected. However, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for being prepared when a loved one has an intellectual and developmental disability. Attendees will learn what to consider when planning for a disaster and what emergency shelters have in place to support people with disabilities.
