The role of a sibling in the life of their brother or sister with an intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) is as complex as it is meaningful. As siblings grow up, their relationship and role with their brother or sister do as well. At all ages, siblings need information, peer support, and an opportunity to discuss the future. This presentation will discuss the sibling experience, common feelings, and how to best support and address the unique needs of siblings. "Typically" developing siblings 13 years of age and older are welcome to attend this presentation.
