  presentation will provide an introduction to aging with developmental dis
 abilities (DD). Demographic factors\, universal physical changes\, and wha
 t is meant by successful aging will be described. The impact of lifelong h
 ealth disparities will be highlighted\, along with aging-related health is
 sues that have been identified in people with Down Syndrome\, Cerebral Pal
 sy\, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Strategies to optimize the aging proces
 s will be presented including the importance of meaningful activity and ap
 propriate retirement. Caregiving issues\, including compound caregiving\, 
 and the importance of future planning will also be discussed. The presenta
 tion will conclude with highlighting useful resources that can be utilized
  to encourage successful aging in older adults with DD.
